A demolished house… with bright blue walls. Roof tiles were no where to be seen, along with the doors and windows. Bright colours disguise the age of this house.
Yet one more structure brought down, making way for a shiny multi storey concrete house. Old making way for the new.
Black eyed beans are a regular part of my kitchen. I use them to make curry and dal. A few weeks back, there were small bugs in the beans container. There were so many bugs that I had to throw away the beans. I bought a new pack and forgot all about the wasted ones.
We had heavy rains last week. Now there are patches of saplings in the backyard. They are the same wasted beans… Sprouting new shoots.
Here they are… small leaves peeping out of the beans. Nothing goes waste here.
Hot weeks are coming to an end. It is the beginning if the second monsoon for this year…. the north east monsoon. So, we are seeing hot and sultry days, with heavy thunderstorms in the evening and night.
This photo was taken during the hot afternoon yesterday.
Tall beautiful pine trees at the pine forest in Kodaikanal (Tamil nadu, India). It is refreshing to take a walk through this forest, as monkeys chatter from the tree branches and cold mist floats by.
Bark of these trees is unique. It feels hard and rugged from the outside, but the inside is smooth and coloured in orange – red hues.
It is a good spot to stop by while visiting kodaikonal.
Two monkeys, in a tight embrace. They did not mind me as I clicked away.
But, the hug lasted only for a few seconds. One of them gave a sudden growl, pushed the other monkey and walked away… or rather climbed away and went up a tree.
